摘要: Abstract. A multi-category numerical sea ice model CICE was used along with data assimilation to derive parameters in the region of Baffin Bay and Labrador Sea. The assimilation concentration performed using the data derived from Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer (AMSR-E and AMSR2). uses a mixed-layer slab ocean parameterization compute the surface temperature (SST) and thereby compute freezing and melting potential ice. data Very High Resolution Radiometer (AVHRR-only optimum interpolation analysis) were to assimilate SST. modelled including concentration, ice thickness, freeboard keel depth compared estimated from remote-sensing data. thickness estimated was compared measurements Soil Moisture Ocean Salinity – Microwave Imaging Aperture Synthesis (SMOS–MIRAS). The model estimates measurements derived CryoSat2. freeboard estimates assimilated both SST were found be within uncertainty observation except during March. The model-estimated draft an upward-looking sonar (ULS) deployed Labrador Sea (near Makkovik Bank). The difference between ULS the model found 10 cm. ULS instruments retrieve a relationship ridge height depth.
