摘要: The vaginal flora consists of a subset different lactic acid producing bacteria, typically creating hostile environment for infecting pathogens. However, the can easily be disrupted, favorable milieu uropathogenic Escherichia coli (UPEC), making it possible to further infect urinary system via urethra. Probiotic use lactobacilli restore normal vagina has been proposed as potential prophylactic treatment against tract infections. This project evaluated protective- and anti-inflammatory roles probiotic Lactobacillus crispatus strain CTV-05 in an vitro system. inflammatory response cytotoxic effect were studied by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays trypan blue exclusion cells inoculated with L. comparing non-infected controls UPEC infected cells. showed no cytotoxicity epithelial compared provided significant protection infection (p < 0.05). Further more, did not create pro-inflammatory vitro, increase IL-1β or IL-6. These results demonstrate protective using reduce risk recurrent
