摘要: In vitro and animals models have long been used to study human diseases identify novel therapeutic approaches that can be applied combat these conditions. Ulcerative colitis Crohn’s disease are the two main entities of inflammatory bowel (IBD). There is an intricate relationship between IBD features in patients, animal models, mechanisms possible strategies extrapolated humans. Malnutrition, particularly protein-energy malnutrition vitamin micronutrient deficiencies, as well dysregulation intestinal microbiota, common IBD. Based on observations, dietary supplementation with essential nutrients known short supply diet patients other molecules believed provide beneficial anti-inflammatory effects, probiotic organisms stimulate immune functions resistance infection has tested models. Here we review current knowledge nutritional While some require further fine-tuning before they their intended purpose prevent, delay or treat symptoms a non-pharmaceutical manner.
