摘要: Abstract The excellent characteristics of diamond such as its high wear resistance and chemical inertness raise the possibility to improve performance life time industrial steel components by deposition a protective coating. Therefore, we have investigated direct onto tool stainless substrates means hot-filament-assisted vapor deposition. Our growth studies show that, without any pretreatment procedure, formation interlayers consisting mixture graphite, amorphous carbon iron carbides prior film is unavoidable. For substrates, ballas type with large quantities graphite formed. steel, in-diffusion leads lesser amounts graphite. However, result competitive non-diamond phases, obtained films are still not continuous. differences in graphitization effects between both types explained generation decomposition metastable cementite (Fe 3 C) phase. results discussed outcomes recent works on multiple-stage processes application diffusion barrier layers overcome above-mentioned problems.
