摘要: In this research, among the chemical properties, free fatty acid value of jatropha oil was determined to be 22.6%, 5.23% and 8.8% respectively. Total, combined glycerol percent raw were 8.27 %, 0.58% 7.69 % Yield biodiesel from at optimal sodium hydroxide catalyst concentration 1%, reaction temperature 65°C, time one hour molar ratio methanol 6:1 92% lab scale. potassium - room temperature, 5 hours ethanol 8:1 90% Biodiesel also produced pilot plant optimum transesterification process condition as stated above. The yield (methyl ester) ethyl ester on basis refined in capacity is 30 gal / day. fuel properties biodiesel, namely cetane index, flash point, pour kinematic viscosity, specific gravity, color, copper strip corrosion, value, water sediment distillation recovery, found within limits American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) specifications diesel fuel. consumption engine which used content more than 1% oil. Keywords—renewable energy, transesterification, methyl ester, plant.
