摘要: Somatic hybrid plants produced by protoplast fusion between tetraploid Medicago sativa (2n= 4x=32) and the diploid species coerulea 2x=16) have been RFLP fingerprinted to establish their nuclear composition. Although all of chromosomes were present, molecular analysis revealed an incomplete incorporation alleles parent in products. In polycross progeny both parents segregated a Mendelian mode. Cytological observations indicated that somatic population minor abnormalities are present; these restricted mainly formation univalents lagging chromosomes. Meiosis appeared be more stable than has previously reported hexaploids alfalfa. The hybrids grown field had rather vigorous aspect, particularly with respect vegetative organs. Forage yield was comparable thmore productive parent. results discussed view utilizing as starting material for breeding alfalfa at hexaploid level.
