摘要: To evaluate the influence of prolonged axenic culture on encystment capacity Acanthamoeba spp., potential four closely related strains, subcultured axenically for different periods time, was evaluated comparing five media. Media with more alkaline pH values were slightly effective; however, composition respective medium had only limited potential, while a strong correlation losses in and times strains been cultured demonstrated. Furthermore, our results indicate that occur shortly after transfer into to remain constant over many years.
