摘要: Abstract The influence of phosphoric acid (0 to 40 g 1−1) on the Pb/PbSO4 reaction and kinetics hydrogen evolution pure, smooth lead alloy electrodes is studied via galvanostatic polarization in linear Tafel domains with without antimony 10 mg addition H2SO4 (3 M) electrolyte. Phosphoric found offset significantly adverse effect antimony. H3PO4 also increase overpotential affecting reaction. This implies that open-circuit corrosion consequent rate are reduced presence H3PO4. beneficial effects additive be optimum at around 20 1−1. Suppression negative electrode, a crucial criterion for sealed cell operation, can achieved using additive.
