摘要: The objectives of this paper are to numerically and experimentally investigate the potential for surface patterning features reduce friction at piston ring cylinder liner interface. A test rig is used measure frictional loss throughout stroke. fully deterministic model applied provide explicit detail mixed lubrication phenomena near dead points. effectiveness laser textured rings examined both numerically. Frictional performance surface-modified shown have improvement over OEM rings.
