摘要: In this paper, the start-up process of line contact elastohydrodynamic lubrication with a stationary central surface pocket is studied. The solution pressure profile and film thickness distribution in area achieved by using mixed lubricated-solid model. mass balance lubricant flow enforced simple algorithm which adjusts cavitation boundary. With center contact, Hertzian divided into two micro-EHL contacts: inlet outlet contact. amount trapped inside determines overall behavior If less than critical amount, would be condition serial builds up first then after fills pocket. time case longer for smooth start-up. more parallel: at same much smaller that Compared condition, because solid vanishes faster, there frictional heat generated thus temperature rise during smaller. These effects could prove beneficial applications frequent start stop or oscillating running conditions, direct to occurs (restart) motion.
