摘要: AbstractBackground: Pathogenicity ofthe Helicobacter pylori-cagA positive was associated with EPIYAmotifs and higher number of EPIYA-C segments is a risk for gastric cancer, while duodenal ulcer-promoting gene (dupA) determinedas protective factor against cancer. Our aim to determine the EPIYA-cagAPhosphorylation sites dupA in H. pylori isolates amongpatients upper gastrointestinal diseases. Materials methodsA total 128 non repeated biopsies obtained from patientsundergoing endoscopy were included study January 2013 till July2013. Samples cultured on selective horse blood agar. Isolated organismswere identified as by Gram staining oxidase, catalase, urease tests. Variousmotif types cagA prevalence determined PCR method.  ResultsOf 120 isolates,35.9% 56.26% werecagA positive, while cagAwithABC ABCC motifswere 55.5% 44.5%, respectively. Fifty six percent motif have had dupAgenesand we also found significant relationship betweenstrains genotypes dupA-ABCand DU disease (p = 0.007). ConclusionTheresults this showed that theprevalence cagA-positive Shiraz are high inwestern countries Higher numbers seen GCpatients. Wealso can use prognosticand pathogenic marker ulcer segment C forgastric cancer thisregion.
