摘要: Abstract Tracer studies suggest that phospholipid DHA (PL-DHA) more effectively targets the brain than triglyceride (TAG-DHA), although mechanism and whether this translates into higher concentrations are not clear. Rats were gavaged with [U- 3 H]PL-DHA H]TAG-DHA blood sampled over 6 h prior to collection of regions other tissues. In another experiment, rats supplemented for 4 weeks TAG-DHA (fish oil), PL-DHA (roe PL) or a mixture both comparison low-omega-3 diet. Brain tissues collected, was weekly. accretion rates estimated using balance method. had radioactivity in cerebellum, hippocampus remainder brain, no differences despite serum lipid rats. TAG-DHA, equally effective at increasing DHA. There between DHA-supplemented groups region, whole-body, tissue except heart TAG where PL-DHA/TAG-DHA blend TAG-DHA. Apparent β-oxidation different groups. This indicates labeled enters when consumed as PL; however, may translate concentrations.
