Localized f-electron antiferromagnetism, heavy fermion behavior and mixed valence in Ce3Au3Sb4, Ce3Pt3Sb4 and related compounds

摘要: Abstract The valences of rare earth ions in R 3 Au Sb 4 are well defined tobe 3+, giving rise to semiconducting properties for R=La, Ce, Pr and semi-metallic R=Sm, Gd. Ce shows no magnetic order down 1.5 K C / T is 2500 mJ/mol 2 at K. Sm Gd antiferromagnets with a N 11 K, respectively. Pt mixed-valent compound. , their alloys suggest strongly that the origin an energy gap band gap.
