摘要: The human urothelium belongs to the most efficient biobarriers, and represents a highly rewarding but challenging target for local drug administration. Inadequate urothelial bioavailability is major obstacle successful treatment of bladder cancer other diseases, yet little research has addressed development advanced delivery concepts intravesical route. A prominent example how overcome barrier by means specific biorecognition cytoinvasion UPEC bacteria, mediated mannose-targeted lectin domain FimH. Similar mechanisms non-bacterial origin may be exploited enhancing uptake from cavity. This review covers current status in lectin-based strategies urinary tract. Different preparing optimizing carbohydrate-targeted systems are presented, along with important design parameters, benefits shortcomings. Bioconjugate- nano-/microparticle-based ...
