摘要: Author(s): Kanafani, Adib; Wang, Rui | Abstract: One of the challenges facing intermodal integration is that planning framework needed for it lacks appropriate measures level service cut across modes involved and connections between them. In this study we develop a set metrics in multimodal context. We propose conceptual which identify various attributes method their integration. These performance are defined from two perspectives: user’s perspective (the demand side) provider’s supply side). An analytical then proposed working definition “multi-modal corridor” adopted methodology defining combining such corridor developed. The context evaluation purpose choosing among alternative corridors. approach grounded utility theory quantitatively these as indirect functions type used choice models. different elements multi-modal corridor, recognizes some additive, either simply or with weights, while others not additive at all exhibit phenomena weakest link, maximal effort. Safety good example this. basic proposition many non-additive combination systems requires specific models reflect way impact users during segments journey. This concludes by recommending research directions to corridors inclusion function.
