摘要: Medial temporal lobe (MTL) structures play a central role in episodic memory. Prior studies suggest that individuals with schizophrenia have deficits memory as well structural abnormalities of the medial (MTL). While correlations been reported between MTL volume loss and such individuals, it is not clear whether reflect influence disease state or underlying genetic influences might contribute to risk. We used high resolution magnetic resonance imaging probabilistic algorithms for image analysis determine structure, performance relationship two differed among groups 47 healthy control subjects, 50 siblings, 39 33 siblings subjects. High-dimensional large deformation brain mapping was obtain measures hippocampus. Cortical distance thickness parahippocampal gyrus (PHG) its substructures: entorhinal cortex (ERC), perirhinal (PRC), (PHC). Neuropsychological data establish an domain score each subject. Both subjects their displayed performance. Siblings schizophrenia, lesser extent, themselves, structure (volume cortical thinning) compared groups.
