Some controversies about type and nature of aphasic symptomatology in Landau-Kleffner's syndrome: a case study.

摘要: The syndrome of acquired aphasia and convulsive disorders in childhood has received ample discussion since the initial description by Landau Kleffner 1957. Despite numerous investigations considering linguistic epileptic phenomena syndrome, symptomatology still remains a puzzling nature. Two aspects nature type symptomatology, have not been discussed thoroughly. In our case only history developmental language pathology was present but also revealed predominantly motor during deterioration phase. A careful review literature as presented here yields data agreement with findings. First we found further evidence that Landau-Kleffner's is exclusively primarily receptive disturbance. Secondly, favour 25 additional cases. this group children disturbances at least two distinct types seem to emerge. which already existing did fluctuate course illness considerable developmentally disturbed functions took place. different patterns evolution suggest possibility an within context congenital onset Landau-Kleffner probable cause pathology.
