摘要: Background Sympathetic interruption offers excellent control of hyperhidrosis and facial blushing (FB), but some patients have side effects prompting a wish to reverse the procedure. Reversal when chain has been cut is challenging, whereas reversal clipped straightforward. The peripheral nerves regenerate; however, little known about regeneration sympathetic after clip removal. We reviewed our results with through removal clips. Methods An institutional review board–approved retrospective treated for FB from November 2004 March 2014 was performed. analyzed those undergoing clips (N = 82). Results Eight (10%) requested underwent procedure between 12 days 5.8 years (median = 73.5 days) initial Compensatory sweating most frequent complaint (n = 6), excessive palmar dryness second (n = 3), latter occurring in without primary hyperhidrosis. interval follow-up ranged 2 4.5 141 days). Five 8 thus far had their symptoms reversed (Table 1). Conclusions percentage requesting sympathectomy significant appears commonly result compensatory (CS); also occurs It that best are obtained removed early placement. counsel ideally should be within weeks reversal.
