摘要: Abstract Unidirectional and net Na + fluxes modified by changes in internal concentration ([Na ] i ) were studied human red blood cells incubated K -free solutions containing 10 −4 M ouabain. An increase [Na brought about (a) a reduction gain, (b) no change influx, (c) the rate constant for efflux (d) an efflux. Similar reductions gain observed when carried out at [K . In addition, 42 was not affected The electrical membrane potential (as determined from chloride distribution ratio) also constant. Furosemide (10 −3 M) increased high had effect on those with low External 50 mM reduced influx: magnitude of these effects dependent intracellular as unaffected depletion cellular ATP to values below μmol/l cells, this independent method used.
