摘要: Chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) migrate to the ocean in their first spring, and growth during early marine life is critical for survival. We examined validity of circulating IGF-I muscle RNA/DNA ratio as indices rate using individually tagged juvenile chum fed or fasted 10 days. Serum level was highly, positively correlated with individual rate. Muscle also showed a positive correlation, but its relation not high that IGF-I. next measured these physiological parameters juveniles caught at river, estuary, port nearshore northeastern Hokkaido, Japan, from May June 2013 2014, respectively. In both years, there trend serum levels were fish low river/estuarine June. contrast, no clear temporal spatial patterns. The present study shows can be used index salmon. Monitoring status suggests survey area activated when they left coast.
