摘要: Sustainability indicators and assessments are vital in promoting campus sustainability. Despite the plethora of indicator frameworks, sustainability assessment developing countries encounters many challenges including lack of, or restricted access to, data difficulties measuring indicators. There is also a limited application Geographical Information Systems (GIS) environmental assessment, although operations have spatial dimensions. This article proposes GIS-based model for demonstrates its usefulness using King Fahd University Petroleum Minerals, Saudi Arabia. The applies analysis techniques, inverse distance weighted (IDW) interpolation, to statistically assess various operational activities by land use estimate greenhouse gas emissions from energy use, water consumption, solid waste, transportation. integration dimension facilitates collection measurement spatially related indicators, helps identify hotspots operations, provides better visualization existing condition future scenario status. can assist decision-makers construct strategies improving overall university campuses. paper concludes highlighting how address some countries.
