Electron and photon sputtering of alkali halides

摘要: Abstract Alkali halides readily form defects under the influence of exciton light or ionising radiation and major model for this low energy mechanism defect formation is reviewed. The same succesfully predicts many features alkali halide sputtering, example dependence on ion sizes, temperature dependence, directionality, lifetime effects, impurities velocity spectra ejected particles. Some more general considerations are mentioned.
