摘要: Abstract Recent congressional action to abolish the Office of Technology Assessment (OTA) reinforces reputation Congress as an institution where policy analysis is not particularly valued. The purpose this article clarify impact that OTA had on decision making by examining its contributions relative other sources analysis. Ninety-two enterprises were studied they searched for information one four specific issues over course 99th Congress. Findings are based 318 semi-structured interviews, results from two written questionnaires, and participant observation. Results indicate a more extensive awareness use than found in most previous studies. Congressional support agencies important staff, and, among agencies, occupied very significant place within networks it studied.
