摘要: Strand breaks in native DNA irradiated aqueous oxygenated solution were assayed the form of monophosphate termini using acid phosphatase. A marked concentration effect on yield (G value) end groups was observed. The postirradiation alkali treatment showed a 2.5-fold increase after 24 hr 0.1 N NaOH values are 0.58 at pH 5.4 and 1.47 12.4 for 0.12 percent DNA; 1.0 4.0-6.8 2.43 0.21 DNA). half-life alkaline-induced 4.1 hr, similar to that alkaline hydrolysis apurinic sites DNA.
