Titanium (IV) chloride complexes with salen ligands supported on magnesium carrier: Synthesis and use in ethylene polymerization

摘要: The magnesium support with the formula MgCl 2 (THF) 0.32 (Et AlCl) 0.36 was used for immobilization of salen complexes titanium [Ti(salen)Cl , Ti(salen(O-Me) )Cl ]. effects catalyst composition (i.e. type complex and activator), polymerization temperature, time, effect comonomer (1-octene) on activity obtained supported catalysts, polymer characteristics (molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, melting point), morphology were studied. findings compared to those corresponding unsupported systems. Catalysts results in considerable changes catalysts properties resultant polymers. studied are highly active ethylene polymerization, their increases increasing temperature lasts at least hours. Their copolymerizing ability towards 1-octene is rather low.
