摘要: Atherosclerosis is the major cause of death in patients with diabetes. Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) being most important cholesterol-carrying has been studied extensively both diabetes and non-diabetes. This paper reviews literature but also focuses on precursors LDL particular postprandial apo B-containing lipoproteins. Abnormalities lipoproteins alteration chylomicron assembly clearance are discussed evidence presented suggesting importance dysregulation these atherosclerotic progression. The relationship between production intestine hepatic release very low-density (VLDL) explored, as interrelationship rates size influences its atherogenicity. VLDL composition relation to influence discussed. effect diet fatty acid reviewed.
