摘要: An appropriate sunscreen should provide a high and broad ultraviolet (UV) protection for both UVB (290-329 nm) UVA (329-400 segments. objective: to quantify the in vitro of 68 sunscreens available medical prescription Mexico. Methods: UV absorbance was quantified through two simple easy interpret methods: critical length absorption (Cλ), spectral uniformity index (SUI). results: based on Cλ, 97% products absorbed 90% or more radiation between 290-370 nm. The SUI showed that 41% (n = 28) offer protection, 35% very 34). We did not find an association sun protecting factor (SPF) Cλ. conclusion: contrast previous sunscreens, recent ones show noticeable improvement absorption. Because SPF refers only these be established by this value, but its capacity have coverage. most common active ingredients found with better were titanium dioxide, avobenzone, bemotrizinol bisoctrizole.
