摘要: The serum of cancer patients often harbors increased free DNA levels, which can potentially be used for detection. Because genetic and epigenetic alterations the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) gene are common events in gastrointestinal tumor development, we sought to investigate frequency level aberrant APC promoter methylation primary tumors paired preoperative or plasma samples lung by semiquantitative methylation-specific fluorogenic real-time PCR. We detected 95 99 (96%) tissues. Forty-two 89 (47%) available and/or from these cases carried detectable amounts methylated DNA. In contrast, no was 50 healthy controls. A highly elevated tissue only independent factor predicting inferior survival this cohort (P = 0.015). analysis appears promising as a prognostic noninvasive marker
