摘要: Abstract Phellinus linteus (PL) is a medicinal mushroom used to prevent or treat gastroenteric dysfunction, diarrhea, hemorrhage, allergy, diabetes, and cancer in East Asia, especially China, Japan, Korea. To demonstrate its pharmacological value mechanism, translate PL into western-accepted therapy, many researchers have investigated the effects of extracts from fruit-bodies (or mycelium) by means various in vitro in vivo models. Subsequently, small molecular weight pure components were isolated identify their properties mechanisms. These studies suggest bioactive compounds as promising candidates anticancer, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulating agents. This review comprehensively covers literature on these extracts, components, potential therapeutic applications 1999 June 2011. In particular, that exhibit biological activity well PL's antidiabetic, neuro- and/or hepatic-protective, activities are reviewed.
