摘要: Body odor sampling is an essential tool in human chemical ecology research. However, methodologies of individual studies vary widely terms material, length sampling, and sample processing. Although these differences might have a critical impact on results obtained, almost no test validity current methods. Here, we focused the effect freezing samples between collection use experiments involving body perception. In 2 experiments, tested whether axillary odors were perceived differently by raters when presented fresh or having been frozen several freeze-thaw cycles affected quality. first experiment, for weeks, 1 month, 4 months. We found ratings pleasantness, attractiveness, masculinity samples. Similarly, repeatedly thawed found. some variations intensity; however, this was unrelated to storage. The second experiment those 6 Again subjective observed. These suggest that has significant hedonicity can be reliably used after storage relatively long periods.
