摘要: Abstract This chapter addresses fundamental questions in population genomics and molecular evolution of plants their domesticated relatives. We review the evolutionary forces that shape genetic diversity within among species highlight recent exceptional examples from literature to illustrate how whole genome sequencing entire populations plant genomes has accelerated pace discovery mechanisms evolution. Throughout chapter, we emphasize role mating system size discuss why frequently show limited evidence adaptation display features are inconsistent with simple models linked selection. close by highlighting studies a range discoveries enabled genomes.
