摘要: Summary. 1  An account of the breeding cycle Arctocephalus pusillus is given based on an examination 184 specimens. 2  The specimens were grouped in age classes separated by stage closure skull sutures. It was not found possible to growth rings teeth. 3  A. remains. at its rookeries throughout year but young are born mostly late spring, birth first pups occurring rather later than those multiparous females. 4  Oestrus occurs about a week after parturition. 5  There delay implantation four months. 6  The averae period gestation, including delayed implantation, 259 days. 7  There phase follicular activity ovaries time blastocysts. 8  Lactation prolonged and may last until succeeding pup. 9  A full description histological changes different parts reproductive tract during cycle.
