摘要: Listeria monocytogenes, a well-described cause of encephalitis and abortion in ruminants food-borne illness humans, is rarely associated with disease companion animals. A case urinary tract infection an atypical, weakly hemolytic L. monocytogenes strain described diabetic dog. The serotype the isolate was determined to be 1/2a (3a), multilocus genotyping pattern 2.72_1/2a. nucleotide substitution (Gly145Asp) detected at residue 145 promoter prfA region. This within critical helix-turn-helix motif PrfA. source remains unknown, dog recovered after 4-week course cephalexin (30 mg/kg orally twice daily).
