摘要: Three studies examined the effects of early postnatal treatment with a GnRH agonist on plasma concentrations testosterone, dehydroepian-drosterone sulfate, 16-androstene steroids in fat and salivary glands, androstenone plasma, testicular development intact male pigs. The first study involved 45 7-d-old pigs assigned to three groups: 1) boars administered 100 microg/kg Lupron depot, 2) 200 3) control receiving saline carrier. second 20 two treatments: daily injection microL 0.5 mg/mL from d 7 35 controls treated saline. third total animals 10 groups based their age at slaughter. These were subdivided into one injected 3 Testicular steroid hormone decreased (P 0.05) levels end 2 or 3. There no differences > glands between any market weight 1 2. Fat measured ranged 0.6 microg/g 4.2 28 age. Treatment development; however, by 60 size remained similar until 180 results these indicate that administration significantly steroidogenesis only during treatment, but testis growth had returned Suppression rise hormones did not affect performance 5 6 mo
