摘要: Background & objectives: Hepatitis A virus usually causes acute viral hepatitis (AVH) in the paediatric age group with a recent shift distribution and disease manifestations like liver failure (ALF). This has been attributed to mutations 5'non-translated region (5'NTR) which affects multiplication. The present study was aimed carry out molecular detection phylogenetic analysis of strains circulating north western India. Methods: Serum samples from patients those attending patient department Pediatric Gastroenterology tertiary care hospital India during 2007-2011 clinically suspected AVH were tested for anti-hepatitis (HAV) IgM antibodies. Acute phase serum subjected nested PCR targeting 5'NTR followed by sequencing representative strains. Results: total 1334 tested, 290 (21.7%) positive anti-HAV antibody. Of these, 78 ( Interpretation conclusion: Our results showed still children III as genotype this region. at warrant further these affect structure internal ribosomal entry site is important replication.
