摘要: Abstract Charge state distributions of 56Fe and 58Ni projectile ions passing through thin carbon foils have been studied in the energy range 1.65–2.69 MeV/u using a novel method involving X-ray spectroscopy technique. Interestingly charge distribution bulk shows Lorentzian behavior instead usual Gaussian distribution. Further, different parameters like mean state, width asymmetric parameter are determined compared with empirical calculations ETACHA predictions. It is found that measurement technique appropriate to determine during ion–solid interaction or bulk. Interestingly, formalism predicts much lower states measurements which clearly indicate multi-electron capture from target surface. The predictions experimental results be comparable for present regime.
