Nipple reconstruction with banked costal cartilage after vertical-type skin-sparing mastectomy and deep inferior epigastric artery perforator flap

摘要: We recently used skin-sparing mastectomy (SSM), the deep inferior epigastric artery perforator (DIEP) flap, and delayed nipple reconstruction with banked costal cartilage. Eight patients who underwent these reconstructions between 2008 2010 were reviewed. SSM was performed by vertical-type incision. transferred DIEP flap using an internal thoracic vessel cartilage into abdominal wound. Three to 6 months later, we removed cut it a cylindrical shape. fixed on dermal base of modified C-V flap. No necrosis or exposure seen scar acceptable in all cases. At mean follow-up 12.6 months, 59% projection maintained comparison immediately postoperatively. Our new concept is combination SSM, DIEP, cartilage, furthermore putting base. With support from dermis, large, complicated form unnecessary.
