摘要: The prognostic factors were retrospectively analyzed in 30 patients aged 70 years or over with supratentorial malignant gliomas treated by surgery our hospital. histological diagnosis was confirmed as grade 3 13 and 4 17. Seventeen received adjuvant radiation therapy. Only 10 underwent chemotherapy. Survival time the Kaplan-Meier method. Prognostic obtained from Cox proportional hazards model. Univariate analysis showed preoperative Karnofsky performance status (KPS) score of greater therapy significantly associated longer survival. However, multivariate revealed that KPS only independent factor lost its significance due to selection bias. Neurological deterioration medical complications occurred six seven patients, respectively. Performance rather than is key elderly gliomas. Patients good should be aggressively extensive resection radiotherapy.
