摘要: Abstract Introduction Thyroid dysfunction and autoantibodies have been frequently associated with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Aim of the work To assess thyroid function anti-thyroid antibodies in both diseases elucidate effects on clinical parameters, disease activity cardiovascular risk. Patients methods Forty SLE forty RA female patients addition to twenty controls were included. Free thyroxine (FT3), free triiodothyronine (FT4), stimulating hormone (TSH), peroxidase (TPOabs), anti-thyroglobulin (TGabs), erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR), C-reactive protein (CRP), triglycerides (TG), total cholesterol (TC), low density lipoprotein (LDL), high (HDL) intima-media thickness (IMT) measured. Disease activities assessed diseases. In patients, anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide (anti-CCP) was evaluated. Results A significantly higher TSH level found compared controls. No significant difference present between Anti-TPOabs anti-TGabs more detected (85% 55%) (50% 37.5%). Abnormal tests SLE, 52.5%, 17.5% 10%, respectively. Subclinical hypothyroidism most common abnormality followed by then euthyroid sick syndrome patients. positive anti-CCP score (DAS28) among strongest independent determinants disease. Conclusion is frequent Those had increased
