Downregulation of HP1α suppresses proliferation of cholangiocarcinoma by restoring SFRP1 expression

摘要: Heterochromatin protein 1α (HP1α) is a gene that mediates chromatin conformation, silencing and cancer progression. However, little known regarding the impact of HP1α in pathogenesis cholangiocarcinoma (CCA). In present study, we demonstrate significantly upregulated CCA tissues cell lines, while downregulation leads to suppression proliferation. Then find can decrease H3K9me3 enrichment DNA methylation rate secreted frizzled-related 1 (SFRP1) promoter, resulting restoring expression SFRP1. Moreover, restoration SFRP1 suppress cells These results provide mechanistic understanding role may offer novel therapeutic target this disease.
