摘要: Large differences in retinal concentration of somatostatin-like immunoreactivity (SLI) were observed even among closely related species. Hog and chicken retinas, like those goldfish frog described previously, contained roughly equal amounts SLI coeluting with somatostatin tetradecapeptide (S14) octacosapeptide (S28) on Sephadex G 50 chromatography. In contrast, virtually all the from rat retina coeluted S14, nearly bovine S28. These species may reflect post-translational processing various molecular forms SLI.
