摘要: Women who have a mutation in the BRCA1 or BRCA2 genes up to an 87% lifetime risk of breast cancer and 40% ovarian cancer. Cancer prevention early detection strategies are often considered by these women address this heightened risk. Risk-reducing include risk-reducing mastectomy oophorectomy, screening, chemoprevention. This systematic literature review summarizes factors contexts that influence decision making related among at high-risk for hereditary In 43 published research articles reviewed, three main types identified women’s decisions about strategies: a) medical physical factors, b) psychological c) social context factors. How operate lives over time remains unknown, would best be elucidated through prospective, longitudinal research, as well qualitative research.
