摘要: The cancer stem cell (CSC) concept has important implications not only for our understanding of carcinogenesis, but also the development therapeutics. There is a growing body preclinical evidence that cells contribute to chemotherapy and radiation resistance in breast cancer. use drugs interfere with self-renewal represents strategy choice, great challenge because their normal counterparts share many pathways. Dietary compounds have been used prevention decades, some these target specific mechanisms control CSC self-renewal. However, date, no significant impact CSCs on clinical outcome identified. new paradigm imposed by model may change way therapeutic effects are measured trials, stressing effect overall survival over just rapid tumor size reduction. In this chapter, we present cell, conventional anticancer treatment resistance, how dietary be capability CSCs.
