摘要: Bacillus subtilis produces several RNA polymerase sigma factors. At least two of these factors are essential for endospore formation, H, which is present in vegetative cells, and E, produced exclusively after the start formation. The structural gene that encodes E part spoIIG operon, transcribed onset sporulation. We have determined starting point transcription nucleotide sequence promoter. This promoter contains sequences similar to those found at -10 -35 regions promoters used by A, primary form cells. unusual feature this putative A contact sites separated 22 base pairs, rather than typical 17 or 18 pairs. Single-base substitutions -10-like reduced utilization vivo. Furthermore, but not H other secondary forms polymerase, accurately initiated from an vitro assay; therefore, we suggest transcribes operon substitution -35-like caused constitutive cells; regulation sporulation-specific may involve a novel mechanism.
