摘要: PURPOSE: To describe 6 eyes with severe firework-related ocular surface injuries that were treated by limbal stem cell transplantation combined amniotic membrane (AMT). METHODS: Six of patients retrospectively studied. All subjects men, age ranging from 9 to 26 years. in chronic stage thermal injury, and all had total dysfunction subsequent conjunctival fibrosis. They (1 an allograft 5 autograft transplantation) AMT restore vision. Mitomycin C was used 1 eye intraoperatively. RESULTS: After reconstruction using AMT, corneal epithelialization achieved 4 after a mean duration 20.8 +/- 12.2 days (range, 4-33 days). follow-up period 36 months 5-87 months), marked reduction fibrosis noted eyes. At last examination, the covered corneal-phenotype epithelium eyes, remaining 2 conjunctivalization. The cornea optically clear 3 corrected visual acuity 20/100 these Both developed conjunctivalization massive preoperatively eyelid deformities. CONCLUSION: Although difficult treat, enable some success cosmetic outcome. Management abnormalities seemed be key rehabilitation. Language: en
