摘要: The policy statements of the World Bank in its new strategies on water resources management, rural development, and the environment strongly support the idea of an "integrated drainage" perspective. An integrated approach to drainage is a way to put the principles promoted by these strategies into action: through integrated water resources management (IWRM) and sustainable development. The art will be to translate general strategic principles into practical "how-to" approaches to drainage. This report presents a tool for analysis and planning--DRAINFRAME, the Drainage Integrated Analytical Framework. DRAINFRAME is a procedure for analyzing and assessing the functions and values embedded in a participatory planning process.
