摘要: Many in vitro and vivo observations indicate that cell-mediated immunity plays an essential role protection of the host against toxoplasmosis. In mouse experimental model, it has recently been shown both CD4+ CD8+ lymphocytes are important controlling acute infection preventing reactivation chronic toxoplasmosis [Suzuki Remington, 1988; Araujo, 1991; Gassinelli et al, Gazzinelli al 1992]. The exact mechanism by which these T-cell subsets confer not yet fully elucidated, but two lymphokines (IL-2 IFN-γ) produced T-cells have demonstrated to a protective activity [Sharma al., 1985]; Suzuki 1990; al. 1991]. Parasite-specific clones (TCC) derived from naturally infected immune individuals offer ingenious way dissect response identify parasite antigens induce effector mechanisms. Such should thus be considered as subunit vaccine candidates.
