摘要: The aim of this study was to experimentally evaluate infection in Gallus gallus domesticus with Neospora caninum tachyzoites the NC-1 strain. Experimental conducted 90-day-old chickens, embryonated eggs and bioassays dogs. In first experiment, poults were randomly divided into four groups. Groups I II provided feed coccidiostat, whereas groups III IV received without coccidiostat. When from reached 90 days age, they a subcutaneous inoculation N. caninum. Once hens entered their egg-laying period, during following 30 days, collected, identified, weighed placed an incubator. On 70th day after inoculation, all animals, including chicks, euthanized. Tissue samples adult poultry chicks collected for histopathology, immunohistochemistry (IHC) PCR. Brain tissue pectoral muscle infected birds fed two Notably, average weight group lower than that (p < 0.05). No changes consistent or detected by histopathology IHC; moreover, no amplified parasite DNA birds' tissues dogs' feces. dog eliminated oocysts. second chicken inoculated 1 × 10(2)N. tachyzoites, on 10th incubation, born these housed boxes suitable species commercial distilled water ad libitum. 30th (DAI), euthanized, organs processed as described experiment I. amplification observed spleen muscles one birds. ingestion bird dogs did not result oocyst elimination. These results indicate may have been host use induce chronic disease might be poor source hens.
