摘要: BACKGROUND We evaluated the preoperative natural growth pattern of craniofacial fibrous dysplasia and postoperative volume changes in patients undergoing shaving procedures. METHODS Thirty-three who underwent serial computed tomography (CT) preoperatively and/or postoperatively were identified. The tumor rate was assessed using CT scans. regrowth rates relevant variables analyzed. RESULTS significantly lower aged ≥ 16 years than those aged < 16 years (P < .001). greater when a operation performed at age < 16 years age ≥ 16 years (P = .04). In with clinical recurrence, remnant inversely correlated rate. CONCLUSIONS decreased after age 16. This should be considered conducting functional aesthetic assessments planning for dysplasia.
