摘要: Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging with surface coils was performed on 43 temporomandibular joints disk prostheses in 28 patients who had pain, dysfunction, or both after implantation of the prostheses. Fracture diagnosed prospectively as a discontinuity prosthesis MR examination; sensitivity and specificity for this diagnosis determined basis these studies. All underwent surgery, which final made. found to have 0.81 0.91. Other findings included an abnormal amount soft tissue surrounding disk, thinning osteophytes, erosion condyle. An yet unexplained artifact frequently seen obscured four six false-negative The one false-positive case resulted from interpretation markedly thinned but intact region fracture.
